MORE than 75 young football fanatics aged six to 14 took part in the JK Academy Trials at The Edge Leisure Centre, Haslemere, on Sunday (Mar 4).
Director Jake Kennett said: “Our coaches were very impressed with the level and now have to take the difficult decision on who made the grade for the academy teams.”
The academy training sessions and ‘home matches’ will take place at The Edge from April onwards.
“JK has close links with a number of professional football clubs and Premier League side Brighton sent one of their coaches to oversee the trials. His Brighton side will play against JK Academy in the coming months,” he added.
