PRIOR’S Field, is celebrating an ‘excellent’ grading by independent school inspectors.

The Godalming based, day and boarding school for pupils aged 11-18, received the highest accolade, in all nine areas of inspection. It also got top marks in its previous inspection five years ago.

The report is the first to combine an assessment of Prior’s Field’s boarding provision with an overall inspection of the school.

Headteacher Tracy Kirnig, who joined Prior’s Field in September, said: “In my first two terms, I have been impressed daily by the extraordinary quality of teaching, learning and all-round care for girls.

“We particularly liked the inspection comment that ‘high expectations, encouragement and praise characterise the school’s approach’. These are factors that underpin all our pupils’ success, whatever their abilities and talents.”
