HOUSEBUILDER CALA Homes has donated two bug hotels to a Farnham school and nursery.

Folly Hill Infant School and Hale Nursery & Primary Academy were the lucky recipients, with the bug hotels helping the children to provide a safe retreat for their local wildlife.

The school and nursery are within a mile of CALA Homes’ new development Folly Heights.

The housebuilder is also this year’s gold sponsor for Farnham in Bloom.

Clare Freeman, academy head at Hale Nursery & Primary Academy, said: “We can’t thank CALA Homes enough for the bug hotel donation.

“It’s a lovely new addition to our outdoor area and the children love seeing the insects make themselves at home and pollinating the garden.”

Ali Stone, headteacher at Folly Hill Infant School, added: “We’re so grateful to CALA Homes for donating such an amazing bug hotel, to expand on our existing wildlife area.

“The children really enjoy playing outside, so it’s great to combine fun with education and the bug hotel is enabling them to learn all about natural habitats. We look forward to seeing how much the children enjoy learning about all of the new creatures living at the hotel.”

Folly Heights is a popular development and is now taking reservations for 2022. Call 01252 756895 for more.
