The Royal School has been nominated for two awards at the Times Educational Supplement (TES) Schools Awards.

The Haslemere school has been nominated for the Headteacher of the Year and Boarding School of the Year awards.

Royal School headteacher Pippa Smithson said: “It is wonderful to be shortlisted for these awards. It is testament to our fantastic senior leadership team, teachers and staff at the school whose belief in finding the best in everyone and going the extra mile for our pupils makes all the difference.

“In boarding, we believe it is the little details that make a happy home-from-home environment. We ensure inclusivity and diversity are at the heart of the boarding house, with all our boarders having a voice and being treated as individuals.”

For the first time, the 2022 TES Schools Awards has brought together the best teachers and schools from all UK state and independent early years settings – including primary and secondary schools.

The TES Schools Awards winners will be announced on Friday, June 17 at a gala ceremony at London’s Grosvenor Park Hotel.
