Something wunderbar is about to happen for beer drinkers in a village between Bordon and Alton.

Fundraisers in Oakhanger will roll out the barrel during the last weekend of September as they’re holding a beer festival in aid of the village hall.

The ‘Oak-tober-Fest’ event at the same venue will be the village’s first with three sessions taking place over two days.

Real ale and cider drinkers are in for a treat at the inaugural event with more than 10 carefully selected beers from around the UK to choose from.

There will also be local tipples to sample with the festival taking over both the hall and adjacent green on both days.

Food will also be available during the sessions with live music from talented local performers also being lined up.

The first session will begin at 6pm on Friday, September 29, with doors for the Saturday afternoon and evening slots opening at midday and 6pm, respectively.

Tickets for each session are priced £12.50 plus a £1.75 booking fee.
