We knew you wouldn’t let us down! The Herald asked for details of Jubilee events happening locally over the June 2 to 5 long weekend – and what a list of Jubilee celebrations we have lined up...

There’s everything from royal-themed village fêtes to Big Lunches, live music nights, pub quizzes, classic car festivals and much more to look forward to, so get ready for a right royal good time!

Here’s our list of events for the fourth and final day of the four-day Jubilee weekend, Sunday, June 5:

  • Frensham: Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebration, Shortfield Common, midday to 6pm – Bring your tables, chairs, blankets together with your picnic and drinks to enjoy an afternoon full of fun and music. Guest appearances are expected!
  • Rowledge: Platinum Jubilee Celebration, Rowledge Primary School Field, midday to 4pm – All Rowledge residents are invited to join the festivities that start with a family-friendly service of thanksgiving for the Queen’s service to the nation, followed by the Big Platinum Picnic including live music, displays of local history and games. Bring your own picnic.
  • Bordon: Big Jubilee Lunch in the Town Park, midday to 4pm –  A free event, hosted by The Shed, where everyone in the community and beyond is invited to bring a picnic, or get food from the many outlets in The Shed, in Prince Philip Park, to celebrate together. There will be live music and plenty of quintessentially British fare on offer for a royally good knees up that the whole family will enjoy.
  • The Bourne: Jubilee Picnic, St Thomas’ Church, at 11.30am – after the Jubilee Service, St Thomas’ will be holding a ‘bring-and-share’ picnic in the lovely grounds of the church. If your surname begins with A-H, bring something sweet, if it begins with I-Z, bring something savoury. You can drop off dishes in the Centenary Room before the service. Please bring your own drinks and garden chairs. For more details call 01252 715505.
  • Farnham: Festival of Transport, Upper Hart car park from 10am. Enjoy the festival atmosphere with more than 200 cars, bikes and commercial vehicles on display spanning the ages, a parade through the town centre at midday, and live music – in aid of Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.
  • Kingsley: Jubilee Celebration Party, School Field behind the Kingsley Centre, midday to 4pm  – Bring your own picnic and hopefully sunny weather! There will be a bouncy castle, competitions, games, cakes and more.   • Hartley Mauditt: Big Jubilee Lunch, at Park Farm, for an estimated 150 to 200 of the community. A BBQ lunch will be served followed by a selection of games and a round or two of softball.
  • Badshot Lea: Outdoor Songs of Praise, St George’s Church, 10am.
  • Badshot Lea:Primary School fête, 11am.
  • Hale: Big Lunch, St John’s Church churchyard, 1pm following Service of Thanksgiving at midday – Big Lunch with barbecue (cover charge applies) and music. Bring your own picnic.
  • Petersfield: Big Jubilee Picnic Lunch, Queen Elizabeth Country Park – Pack a picnic for a fun-filled family afternoon with stalls, music, and entertainment. Café open offering hot and cold food, snacks, and drinks. Free to attend but car parking charges apply.
  • Elstead: Service of Thanksgiving, Thursley Road Rec – Churches Together in Elstead special service of thanks at 11am led by Rev Hannah Moore.
  • Elstead: Platinum Picnic Party with Elstead Expo, Thursley Road Rec, midday to 5pm – A whole community event. Residents are invited to bring along a picnic. There will be music, a classic car display plus an exhibition of local clubs and societies designed to showcase all corners of life in Elstead.
  • Alton: Big Jubilee Lunch, Alton’s Public Gardens, midday to 3pm – Bring a picnic. With performances from Alton Concert Band starting at 1pm.
  • Farnham: Big Jubilee Lunch, Gostrey Meadow, midday to 5pm –  live ‘proms-style’ Music in the Meadow.
  • Farnham: Platinum Jubilee CelebrationService, St Andrew’s Church, 10am.
  • Farnham: Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Service, the Spire Church, at 10.30am – The mayors of both Waverley and Farnham will be attending, as will Lady Elizabeth Toulson, Deputy Lieutenant, representing the Lord Lieutenant of Surrey.  Everyone welcome, tickets are not required.
  • Lower Froyle:Platinum Jubilee Big Lunch, recreation ground, 2pm to 5pm.
  • Haslemere: Civic church service, St Bartholomew’s Church, 11.30am –  The mayor will be present and the choir will sing a specially- composed anthem.
  • Haslemere: Carnival procession, setting off from High Lane Estate at 1.30pm  – with floats from local societies, businesses and schools, plus classic cars from every decade of the Queen’s reign. The procession will make its way down the High Street, Lower Street and Wey Hill to Lion Green.
  • Haslemere: Lion Green tea party, on Lion Green, at 2pm  –  there will be stalls and amusements and tea with scones for 2,000 people. Admission is free, but the cost of tea for two will be £6, booked in advance. Details from www.haslemerefestival.org.uk
  • Haslemere: Dedication of the Jubilee clock, Hasleway Community Centre, at5pm – the Lord Lieutenant of Surrey, Michael More-Molyneux, with the mayor of Haslemere, will dedicate the Jubilee clock. Details www.haslemereatfestival.org.uk
  • Haslemere: Concert, Lion Green, 3pm to 8pm –  To complete the entertainment on Lion Green there will be seven bands performing – one for every decade of Her Majesty’s reign – including local bands and a Queen tribute band. The finale will be Queen by Candlelight, featuring a live cast of West End singers, accompanied by a live rock band. Experience Queen as you have never heard them before.
