GRAYSHOTT Gardeners filled the village hall with flowers, vegetables, crafts and home produce at their Spring Show.

“The organisers did wonder if there would be many entries, after such a bad Spring, but local gardeners came up trumps, with over 200 entries - about a 10 per cent rise on last year,” committee member Helen Deighen said.

Maureen Boorman won the Best in Show plate. Main cup winners were: Jill Meech (Spring Cup, Gladys Willmot Cup, Whitehouse Cup); Vanessa Thompson (Gardeners Cup); Sally Russell (Denyer Cup, Novice Cup). Sue Coates won the craft prize and Angela Pointon the photography prize. Junior winners were Zoe Gilbert (under eight) and Jessie Meech (eight to 11).
