Get ready for an unforgettable night of folk and blues as the Grayshott Folk Club presents SilverBlues on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Grayshott Village Hall.
SilverBlues is a supergroup featuring members from two iconic folk bands, Lindisfarne and Fairport Convention, and promise a musical journey filled with rich harmonies, incredible instrumental prowess, and a touch of mystery.
The line-up includes founder member of Lindisfarne, Ray Jackson, on the blues harmonica and mandolin; Ric Sanders of Fairport Convention, an outstanding electric violin player; Tom Leary of Lindisfarne, Feast of Fiddles and Joe Brown’s Band, on the electric violin, mandolin and lap steel; and Vo Fletcher of the Ric Sanders Trio, on guitar and vocals.
SilverBlues will take you on a journey through traditional folk tunes, Lindisfarne classics, and Fairport Convention favourites.
One unique aspect of SilverBlues is that they have yet to release any recordings. They’ve chosen to prioritize the live experience over commercial demands, making each performance a one-of-a-kind event filled with improvisation, inspiration, and excitement.
