A FRESH strike has been made by a Haslemere multi-millionaire keen to create a high-goal polo training centre at Barfold Farm Estate, near Lythe Hill Hotel.
Adrian Kirby, who founded Cortium Sports, and plays high-goal polo for the Cortium team, got the green light on appeal last year – to hold up to 20 competitive matches annually on his estate, and, to convert an old signals station next to the polo ground into a clubhouse.
A new application for stabling has just been submitted to Waverley, despite a string of previous rejections by the borough council.
