GRAYSHOTT School went to town with its ‘Fun in the Field’ event, designed to give pupils an entertaining outdoor experience while offering parents an opportunity to socialise.

Highlights included a visit from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service plus some high-power water fun, a cafe with homemade cookies, a soft play area and traditional games, such as tug of war.

The event also allowed the school choir and the school orchestra to show off their talents and featured appearances by Dylan’s Ice Cream Van and ASH Puppets.

Headteacher Sharon Pritchard said: “Building a strong and happy school community is at the heart of everything we do.

We strive to provide fun activities for the children and we are lucky to have a wonderful PTA supporting us.

“The money they raise enables us to bring in exciting new resources and constantly enrich the curriculum for all our classes.”

The next big event is Grayshott School’s Christmas Fair, which will take place in the village Square, on Saturday, from 2-4pm. All are welcome.
