PROFESSIONAL gardening equipment has been stolen from a vehicle parked in the Tesco Express store car park on Portsmouth Road in Milford.

Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses following the theft which happened at around 1.20pm on August 31.

A petrol hedge trimmer and engine-powered trimmer back pack were taken.

The suspects were seen leaving the scene in a red Ford Transit van toward the roundabout near the junction of Station Lane.

Detective Constable Richard Pegden, from Guildford CID, said: "This was an opportunist incident, causing a local professional huge inconvenience, and I am urging anybody who witnessed the incident or with any information to contact police immediately.

"I am particularly keen to hear from anybody who saw a red Transit van in the area around the time of the incident.”
