SHOTTERMILL Junior School's gardening club reaped the benefits of their hard work last week as they left the school carrying bundles of home-grown vegetables.

The pupils, who work under the supervision of two parents, meet regularly each week to tend to their plants.

And lettuces, onions, potatoes and strawberries have been harvested this season despite the torrential rain mixed with tropical sunshine.
