Pictured with his snout in page one, next to his creator Godalming artist Maureen Farr, is this paper’s very own hog to help swell funds for Haslemere Mayor Sahran Abeysundara’s nominated charities.

The grand unveiling of all 60 Haslemere Hogs, – lavishly decorated by local artists to the specifications takes place on Saturday, April 1 – April Fool’s Day significantly.

The ‘Hog Parade’ is on show at Haslemere Museum from 10am to 3pm, followed by a ticketed evening hog roast and entertainment at the museum from 7pm to 10pm. Tickets cost £15 from Marley Flowers, Haslewey and The Silkroad. For more information: www.haslemerehogs.co.uk.
