Children of police officers and staff were given the challenge of designing a Christmas card to be sent out by Hampshire and Isle of Wight police and crime commissioner Donna Jones.

And they responded in style with a host of creative entries on the theme of ‘North Pole Police’.

Nine-year-old Benjamin was the winner, with Ella, 15, coming second and Theo, 11, third. They each received a voucher, for a shop of their choosing, for £50, £30 and £20 respectively. All entrants will receive a personal thank you letter from Ms Jones.

Hundreds of copies of Benjamin’s card, featuring a snowman holding a constabulary badge, were sent out across the two counties, with one going to prime minister Rishi Sunak.

Ms Jones said: “We received so many fantastic designs and it was very hard to pick a winner as they were all really colourful and imaginative. Thank you so much to everyone who took part.”
