HASLEMERE resident Flight Lieutenant Nick Hinchliffe has been given the Freedom of the City of London.

Nick’s application was sponsored by Ann-Marie Jefferys, Master of the Guild of Freemen, and Lieutenant Colonel Leslie Clarke.

He was presented with the Freedom of the City of London by Murray Craig, the Clerk of the Chamberlain’s Court.

Nick is a former headmaster of St George’s military school, in Norway, and has taught in most of Haslemere’s schools. He is currently working for St Edmund’s as a supply teacher.

He is also the chairman of the Haslemere branch of the Royal Society of St George.
