FERNHURST children were on the trail of the Easter Bunny around the village on Good Friday.
With the lure of chocolate for all, altogether 47 children hopped out for the challenge and aided by maps and plenty of parents a happy hunt in the sunshine was assured.
Everyone completed the trail and were rewarded with chocolate eggs – some of them are pictured above.
A draw for the winners in each of three age groups won colouring pencils and bubble blowing sets for James Ward (under four years), Nathan Chikhlia (five to seven) and David Rogers (eight to 11).
Volunteers from the Fernhurst Centre organised and helped run the annual children’s Easter Egg hunt, which started and finished at the community centre and internet cafe in Crossfield, off Vann Road.
