HUNDREDS of people attended this year’s two-day Beacon Hill Beer Festival.

Live music on the Friday was provided by The Bierkeller Boys on Friday, with The Noize providing the Saturday’s musical offering. Among the people attending the festival was Rich Miller from The Great Pottery Throwdown.

Festival organiser Wayne Harvey said: “We sold out of beer, cider and lager. Friday broke all our records for attendances and money taken – and then scorching Saturday happened.

“We have had our most successful festival ever – during Saturday afternoon our beer garden was full, as was the hall and TV area.

“Not only did we have record takings at the festival but behind the main bar as well. At one stage almost 500 people were enjoying the sun and watching the football. I want to thank everyone who joined us over the weekend, the bands, the Gurkha Durbar for some amazing food and the staff at the festival and behind the main bar.”
