Shottermill Infant School did its bit to swell Comic Relief’s incredible £73million total raised last Friday in the biennial telethon which saw people donning Red Noses across the UK for good causes.
The Haslemere pupils raised £236 and enjoyed a visit from Comic Relief representative Jane Parry (pictured).
Headteacher Jilly Storey said: “Jane told the children about the charity’s work and shared the story of Haja, a little girl who really appreciates having clean water to drink now the Red Nose Day charity has helped her family.
“She also explained the charity helps people of all ages in this country and abroad and showed us the complete set of Red Noses, ranging from Nose-it-all, the all-knowing owl, and Snootankhamun from ancient Sneezegypt, to Snuffles the dragon, Sneezecake the chef and Sniffer the dog. But even Jane hadn’t got the rarest and scariest nose of all, Frankinose.”
