It was interesting to read in the Herald (January 11) that the owl play-sculpture is to be dismantled in Alice Holt forest.

Almost exactly 12 years ago I went on a first date to Alice Holt because my date and I had heard about the owl. We (naively) were searching for a real owl!

He’s now my husband and I could make a terrible joke about (twit) wooing but I’ll leave the gags to him. He’s far funnier than me!
