HASLEMERE’S Mayor Sahran Abeysundara is planning is planning a family fun day in aid of his nominated charities, Positive Action, Action Medical Research for Children, The Kaleidoscope Trust and The Haslemere Penny Ha’Penny Trust.

The event, run in conjunction with the Apple Tree pub, will be on the two small greens next to Lion Green, starting at 2pm, on Sunday, August 28.

There will be music, children’s entertainment, a bouncy castle and the possibility of a bungee crane. Funds for the charities will be raised via a bucket collections and the pub will be donating a percentage of its profits.
