Treacherous conditions following fresh snow overnight closed the A3 southbound carriageway on the hill up to Hindhead Tunnel.

Surrey Police were called out at 8am to clear a stuck car that caused long tailbacks. The carriageway was cleared just before 10am.

Meanwhile, keen to enjoy the snow while it lasted. Happy families were making the most of Brook piste.
