FOXBRIDGE Golf Club in Plaistow was once again the setting for Haslemere Museum’s annual fundraising golf day.

The successful event, now in its seventh year, attracted keen golfers who turned out to play a competitive round of 18 holes.

The teams of four battled it out on the fairways to try and claim the top honours of the day, the Haslemere Museum Golf Trophy, with Old Thorns Seniors running out victorious.

The excellent day enjoyed by all raised more than £1,400 to help secure the museum for future generations to enjoy.

Museum chairman Melanie Odell presented a salver for the longest drive competition won by Adrian Hardwick and also presented a salver for the nearest the pin won by Peter Daines.

“It was a fantastic day, both on and off the course, with great camaraderie and luckily the rain stayed away, Melanie told The Herald.

“We are very grateful to all the golfers who supported the fundraising event and of course our sponsors for making such a great contribution.

“The whole day was very well organised thanks to the professionalism and hospitality of everyone at Foxbridge Golf Club, who ensured everything ran so smoothly”

Sponsors of holes on the day were – Sheen Botanical Labels, Venturi Vision, Davids, Keats, The Silk Road, Objects d’Art, Sportslocker Store and Cockerill Shoes.
