HASLEMERE Museum has been awarded a coveted bronze in the Small Visitor Attraction of the Year category at the Beautiful South Awards 2015.

The presentation evening at the Grand Hotel Brighton celebrated visitor experiences available across the south and south east of England. Established over 20 years ago, the Beautiful South Awards reward excellence, quality, innovation and customer service.

Tourism South East chief executive Nigel Smith said: “It was a fantastic evening at the Grand Hotel and a real privilege to be in the company of so many dedicated and passionate tourism businesses.

“The excellent quality of facilities, service and approach makes our role of promoting the south east so much easier and is one of the main reasons why we are one of the most popular UK tourist regions outside London.”

Haslemere Museum chairman Melanie Odell said: “It is wonderful we have won this prestigious tourism award and it is testimony to the dedication and enthusiasm of all our staff and volunteers who work so hard to ensure that our visitors enjoy their time at such a fantastic attraction.

“It is a wonderful achievement and we look forward to welcoming many more visitors in the future and providing our usual warm and friendly service”.
