HASLEMERE Museum education officer Kay Topping was presented with the Sandford Award for Heritage Education 2016 by Professor David Rae, of Bishop Grosseteste University College, at a special ceremony at Worcester Cathedral.

The Sandford Award is an independently judged assessment of education programmes at heritage sites, museums, archives and collections across the British Isles, jointly managed by Bishop Grosseteste University College and the Heritage Education Trust.

Haslemere Museum now joins a select group of around 350 heritage education providers that have won the award since 1978.
