"THE Cat from Dubai" might sound like the title of a mystery novel, but a microchip from the Middle Eastern country inserted in a cat should give a vital clue in reuniting a stray with her owner.

Haslemere Adoption Centre staff found Grace, as they have named her. has a data chip, and originates from Dubai.

The black and white, short haired cat has distinctive markings, a shortened tail and the tip of her left ear missing.

The vet estimates she is around eight years old.

Grace (pictured) was found in Frimley and handed into the cats' centre in Upper Hammer Lane.
