WAVERLEY Borough Council has refused planning permission for a controversial new access at 48 Petworth Road, Haslemere after 33 neighbours objected and none supported the plans.
The developers have also submitted a new planning application to build a large detached house and garage at the back of the site, covering about 5,000 square feet, which would share the access behind the present house.
