A NEW political party dedicated to opposing the Government's reforms of the NHS has pledged to target Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt's South West Surrey seat at the next General Election.
The National Health Action Party (NHA), made up of healthcare professionals unhappy at the growing role of the private sector in the health service in England, was launched last Thursday.
It is also aiming to contest the seats of Chancellor George Osborne, Education Minister David Laws and Andrew Lansley, the former Health Secretary responsible for the controversial reforms before standing down in this summer's Cabinet reshuffle, with Mr Hunt moving from the Culture Secretary's role.
The NHA is strongly critical of the Coalition's handling of the NHS.
