A FERNHUST man has been put behind bars this week and faces a long jail sentence after being convicted of a string of sex attacks on children.
Eric Adie, 72, a retired taxi driver and ex-member of the Grayshott Stagers amateur dramatic society led a sinister double life as a prolific paedophile - targeting children as young as six in two different counties over a 16-year period, Guildford Crown Court was told.
Adie, a former national serviceman and retired taxi driver, also repeatedly molested a girl when he moved to Hatchetts Drive, in Haslemere, after a string of offences were committed in Herfordshire.
For a full report of the trial, read this week's Haslemere Herald.
