THERE was a festive mood in Grayshott Village Hall, which was the venue for The Sacred Heart and St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Parish Christmas lunch, on Saturday.

It was organised by parishioner Marian Westaway and husband Richard, who also provided much of the food, with additional contributions from other parishioners.

More than 60 people enjoyed the meal and festivities, including Marie Pattison who has just celebrated her 90th birthday. Also there were the parish priest Father Thom Amungwa and his immediate predecessor Father Eddie Richer.

A collection was taken for the Bordon, Liphook and Haslemere Charity, which helps people in the area served by the two congregations.
