A REPORT compiled by county council officers on parking meters, restrictions and residents' permits proposed throughout the town has been described as "staggeringly misrepresentative, inaccurate and misleading".

Nikki Barton, a spokesman for the action group against the proposals, urged Haslemere residents and business owners to turn up in force to make their feelings known to the meeting being held today to decide on the county council's parking scheme which has caused a massive uproar in the town.
