Former students of St Andrew’s School in Farnham in the 1950s and early ’60s will likely remember a young teacher by the name of Miss S Enticknap.

Well, ‘Miss Enticknap’ – now better known by her married name Sheila Warman – is soon to move away from her long-time home in Priory Lane, Frensham, after some 50 years, and got in touch after a quite remarkable discovery in the process of packing.

“This album was my leaving gift from St Andrew’s School in July 1961,” Sheila writes.

“It has been signed by the Reverend Wilde and all the governors and staff and caretaker at that time plus the staff of the infant school.

“Every child signed it, plus a photo was taken of every school year plus the athletics team, netball team and swimming team.”

The album will now be handed over to St Andrew’s School for its own archive, but not before appearing in Peeps first!

We’ve focussed on the sports teams this week, with more class snaps to follow. Share your own memories by email to [email protected]
