PLANS to extend a property in Courts Mount Road, in Haslemere, has been dismissed on appeal. Situated within the town’s conservation area, the proposed extension to the detached bungalow included a first floor with a raised roof and dormers to the front and rear, but was refused by borough council planners.
Planning inspector Lynne Evans concluded that while the plan would not have a detrimental effect on neighbours, it would be harmful to the conservation area and was against Waverley planning policies.
