A PLANNING appeal to replace a former storage building in Beacon Hill with two new homes has been dismissed by a government planning inspector.
The appeal followed Waverley Borough Council’s refusal to demolish and re-develop the long single storey brick-built building to provide a pair of two bedroomed, two storey homes within the business area in Beacon Hill Road.
The inspector concluded in his report the height and size of the proposed development would affect nearby neighbours and inadequate parking would significantly outweigh the benefits of the proposals.
