AN NHS Surrey report boasting improvements to community healthcare centres such as Haslemere Hospital has been criticised this week.
The report – called Improving Care in Community Hospitals – compares data from April 2008 to December 2009 and shows how Surrey Community Health has reduced the average length of stay in its community hospitals by 17 days while increasing admissions by 20 per cent.
