A Haslemere author has given conspiracy fans a million reasons to buy his latest book.
Christopher Berry will definitely remember this Friday, March 13, in years to come as he’s launching the paperback version of A Million Eyes at Waterstones Farnham at 7pm.
The 34-year-old describes the book as a “time travelling conspiracy thriller” that incorporates real figures from British history. There’s also a strong Royal theme as a shadowy organisation is linked with the deaths of Princes Diana, William II and the disappearance of the princes in the tower.
Mr Berry believes his novel is the first to place Princes Diana in a sci-fi context although he insists the book is a conspiracy thriller at its heart.
He said: “All these ideas came to me around the time of the Diana Inquest, at a time when conspiracy theories were rife, so I decided to link them all together.
“My story is about the fact that all these events were to do with a mysterious group of time travellers. It’s a bit of a happy coincidence they’re all royals, but they’re events that have always interested me.
“Because we don’t know what really happened and there’s a lot of unanswered questions regarding all three deaths I realised I could link them. The tagline is ‘History isn’t what it seems’.”
A Million Eyes is the name of the “shadowy” big company at the heart of the “very British” book released in eBook format last year.
There’s been some fantastic reviews with critics lauding its “deliciously dark vein of humour”.
