THERE was a Battle of Britain revival for Conifers Prep School when 16 pupils were taken to Goodwood to find out more about the Second World War and the most famous British fighter aircraft that flew in it - The Spitfire.

Once at Goodwood, the children were taken airside where they sat beneath the Spitfire and were given a blow-by-blow account of how the famous plane worked, its design, its role in the war, and the pilots who flew it.
