CHILDREN at St Mary's Primary School in Chiddingfold staged the Magical Christmas Jigsaw Nativity, a modern twist on the traditional festive story.

The play starred pupils from the reception year plus classes from years one and two and was produced by produced by their teachers Gayle Lawrence and Charlotte Potter.

The tale was about five children who are sold a jigsaw puzzle which tells the Nativity story.

The school also organised a Christmas fair complete with a chocolate tombola and Santa's Grotto, and in the last week of term a series of festive lunches were held. Other Christmas-themed activities included the "Rock Steady" Christmas concert and a carol service at St Mary's Church in the village.
