Remembrance Day services will take place across the district next weekend.

The fallen from two world wars and other major international conflicts over the past 100 years will take place at St Alban’s Church in Hindhead, St Stephen’s Church in Shottermill and St Bartholomew’s Church in Haslemere and All Saints Church in Grayswood, on Sunday, November 13.

Following the service at St Bartholomew’s there will be a parade down to Haslemere’s War Memorial, in the High Street, where a two-minute silence will be held at 11am with a short service to follow.

Refreshments will be served afterwards at Haslemere Hall and all are welcome.

Haslemere Town Council and residents will also congregate for prayers led by Rev Ruth Dillon and a two-minute minute silence on Friday, November 11, at the town’s war memorial and everyone is welcome to attend.
