Traffic delays are expected on the A3 from next Monday to Friday as a result of routine maintenance in the Hindhead Tunnel.

National Highways has warned motorists that a contraflow will be in place in both directions during this period.

There are also scheduled to be temporary traffic lights in:

  • Churt Road, Hindhead from Monday to Thursday for work by South East Water.
  • Headley Road, Hindhead from Monday to Thursday for pavements work by Hampshire County Council.
  • Lower Street, Haslemere from Monday to Wednesday for work by Gigaclear.
  • Churt Road, Hindhead on Monday for work by Openreach.
  • Crossways Road, Hindhead from today until Monday for work by Gigaclear.
  • Lion Lane, Haslemere from Wednesday to Friday for work by Gigaclear.
  • Tanners Lane, Haslemere from Monday to Wednesday for work by Gigaclear.

Tilford Road, Hindhead is also set to be closed until Tuesday for resurfacing by Surrey County Council. And there may be some disruption in Wey Hill from Monday to Wednesday during work by South East Water.
