Sad Café are coming to the Haslemere Hall on February 24 at 8pm.

This is the band who reached number three in the UK chart with Every Day Hurts in 1979. They also had British hits with My Oh My, Strange Little Girl, Black Rose and I’m In Love Again, and cracked the USA with La-Di-Da and Run Home Girl.

Singer Paul Young – also of Mike and the Mechanics – died in 2000. The new line-up, led by long-time bassist Des Tong, features Barry James Thomas (vocals/percussion), Dave Day (lead guitar/vocals), Matt Steele (keyboards), Neil Shaw-Hulme (sax/vocals) and Steve Gibson (drums).
