GRAYSHOTT Spa has been bought by award-winning European health resort specialists the Lanserhof Group.
The family-run group, which owns spas in Austria and Germany, has teamed up with real estate agency London and Regional Properties in a joint venture. Each has a 50 per cent stake in the business.
The familiar Grayshott Spa name will stay but the building and estate will be revamped and employees will be trained in the Lanserhof concept by new manager Eva-Maria Hasenauer, who currently oversees the Lanserhof Tegernsee resort in Germany.
The Lanserhof Group is owned by the Harisch, Rutter and Pletzer families and has been run by chief executive officer Dr Christian Harisch since 1998.
“Lanserhof has been a key player in innovative wellbeing for more than 30 years and the LANS Med Concept combines traditional naturopathy and modern medicine,” a spokesman said.
“The core philosophy behind the
concept is based on the teachings of Franz Xaver Mayr, an Austrian physician who postulated that the gastrointestinal tract plays a key role for health and wellbeing.
“London and Regional Properties is one of the largest private real estate companies in Europe, founded by the brothers Richard and Ian Livingstone. The hotel investments include Hilton hotels at Park Lane, Green Park and Trafalgar Square, as well as the Strand Palace, Marriott Marble Arch and the Cumberland Hotel in London.”
