MIDHURST Rother College collected items for the town food bank, piling the minibus high with enough food for at least 150 people.

Headgirl Emily Hillier told The Hearld: “It was phenomenal, we couldn’t believe the amount of food that was donated by staff and students.”

Students had been asked to bring one item each in exchange for not wearing their uniform for the day, but many brought whole bags full of produce.

They are pictured with stacks of tinned food at the college in North Street, Midhurst.
