A SUCCESSFUL Junior Football Tournament at Beacon Hill JFC’s home ground saw 85 teams play across six pitches in a sunny festival atmosphere.

In a fun-filled weekend for spectators and children 23 clubs were represented from all over Surrey and north-east Hampshire, at Hindhead Playing Fields

Age groups ranged from u7 to u13 and each day was rounded off with a trophy presentation. Competitions were tight with the final winners of each age group sometimes only being decided in the last game, with one being settled on goal difference.

Club chairman Damon Culley said: “Beacon Hill JFC would like to extend grateful thanks to the huge number of local businesses and individuals who make the event possible, and to all the parent volunteers for their continued support and enthusiasm.”

Beacon Hill has trebled in size in the last five years and will have over 330 boys and girls enjoying local football next season.

New players from u7 to u16 are always welcome - registration day for the 2016/17 season will be on Sunday July 17.

The club is affiliated to Surrey FA and was awarded FA Charter Status in July 2011.
