THERE have been a series of thefts and attempted thefts from car park ticket machines across Waverley in recent weeks, with machines in Haslemere and Godalming being targeted.

Police issued few details of a machine being broken into in Haslemere as the Herald went to press, but said a pay and display machine near the covered walkway at the Swan Inn car park was raided.
