AROUND 130 people attended a charity event at Grayshott Village Hall last week to raise funds for the Haslemere-based Melanie Braysher Trust and The Meningitis Trust.

Organised by mum Sophie Niesh, whose daughter Poppy suffered from meningococcal septicaemia as a baby, the event boasted cookery demonstrations, masseurs, a raffle and auction and even a popular round of pig racing!

It raised more than £2,500.
