LEFT a giant inflatable shark, a leather lounge chair or an ironing board on the train? Then South Western Railway, SWR, lost property could be waiting to hear from you.
They are just a few of the strange items of lost property the train company has accumulated in the first two months of operations.
Among other items left recently is a barrister’s wig, pirate flag complete with pole, pair of false teeth and giant prize bananas, pandas and doughnuts from Thorpe Park.
Michael Pugh, customer experience manager at Waterloo station, told The Herald: “Our staff from across the network work hard to ensure passengers are reunited with their belongings. However, we would encourage everyone to check they have their belongings before they leave our trains.
“Keys, phones and wallets are always such a pain to lose but it’s the sentimental items that really cause problems for passengers.
