VANDALS caused £2,000 of damage to a car parked in Haslemere High Street.

Paintwork was scratched on light metallic blue Ford Fiesta sometime between 10.30pm on July 16 and 8.50am on July 17.

DC Christopher Bowers, who is investigating the incident, said: "This car was the victim’s pride and joy and this has caused significant damage which will cost him thousands to repair, as well as causing considerable inconvenience. If anyone witnessed this mindless act of vandalism, or has any other information which could assist, please come forward as soon as possible.”
