VOLUNTEERS are needed to help make Haslemere’s 2018 Fringe Festival the best yet.
The biennial music, comedy, dance, performance poetry and arts event takes place on Lion Green from Friday, July 6 until Sunday, July 8 and more than 9,000 showgoers enjoyed the last festival in 2016.
This year’s event, with headline acts REWS, Scouting For Girls and The Real Thing already booked, looks set to attract an even bigger crowd and additional volunteers are needed to join the friendly fringe family.
Volunteers are needed for various role of the three-day festival and applicants can help out as much or as little as they like, as long as it’s a couple of hours or more.
Committee chairman Ken Griffiths said: “We need volunteer stewards located around the site to make sure the Fringe-goers are safe and that the site is running smoothly.
“We are also looking for bar staff to join our established bar tending team, volunteers to help the dance site manager, volunteers to work on the gates and take tickets and energetic build volunteers to help erect the Fringe site on the Wednesday before and help dismantle it on the Monday afterwards.”
