THE golden goodness went down a treat at The Whiskey Affair – with the chance to sample a ‘dream dram’ as well as further delights from around the world.
Double the number turned out for this year’s festival at Haslemere Hall, which offered four bars devoted to scotch, bourbon, whiskey and whiskey cocktails.
There were also stalls from brands giving away samples, with experts on hand to answer any questions.
The afternoon and evening sessions went with an added swing, thanks to singer Becki Short.
Swedish brand Mackmyra provided a masterclass, starting with its Vin Hund (White Dog) and finishing with some very special limited editions, Loch Lomond Whiskies served up a ‘dream dram’ in the shape of its 1999 autograph edition, while L and M Fusion Foods laid on some equally sizzling snacks.
Founder Catherine Jackson said: “We were back for the busiest event we have held in Haslemere.
“Double the numbers compared to last year’s Whiskey Affair came, so it’s obviously going down nicely. We will definitely be returning.”
