If you are unsure whether to download the lateset version of Microsoft’s Windows 10 to your computer before the free upgrade expires on July 29, then help is at hand at the Fernhurst Centre.

Antonia Plant, a centre trustee said: “There has been much comment about the pros and cons of the new update and understandably people are concerned about what the implications are.”

The Fernhurst Centre has devised a popular two-hour demonstration at a cost of just £10 to run through the look and feel of the Windows 10 operating system and explain what is involved.

As John Bounds, volunteer tutor explained: “For those who might benefit from this Microsoft offer, there are only a few working days to go in this free window of opportunity.

“As fast as we announce new dates for the demonstration, the places get booked up.

“With a maximum of seven people per demonstration, there is a little time left for users to try it out on the centre’s own computers and make the decision as to whether they want to take the free upgrade.”

The Fernhurst Centre in Vann Road, is a registered charity managed and run entirely by volunteers.
